Ok, whilst we're on the rumour mill, lets jump ahead 6 months into the season. We're in a play off position and our (new?) manager is being touted for every available vacancy. Who do you want to replace him?? Just wondered!:)
Still not sure about this fella though. Will he get us playing like Barcelona or, with all the spanish talent he'll bring in, will we end up looking like we live in Barcelona?

The Maccabi website makes for interesting reading. Obviously Johann Cruyff really rates the guy because he recommended him to his son Jordi, and if Johann rates him he must be good.

Maccabi Tel Aviv have announced the departure of head coach Oscar Garcia, who has decided to leave the club after one season for personal reasons.

Maccabi Tel Aviv sports director Jordi Cruyff paid tribute to Oscar Garcia, who guided the team to the Israeli National Championship, and promised the club will do their best to find a suitable replacement for the 40-year-old Catalan.

"We have had a very successful season with Oscar," Cruyff told the clubs' official website. "Obviously it will be difficult for all Maccabi fans to hear that Oscar is leaving. To win a championship in your first season, and in such a convincing manner, is far from easy. But knowing Oscar as long and as well as I do, I never had any doubt he could do the job. Oscar will always be part of Maccabi Tel Aviv's history and I am convinced that Maccabi fans will always look back upon him with admiration and pride knowing he began his senior coaching career in the Yellow and Blue of Maccabi Tel Aviv.

the championship is a tougher league then the Israeli league

I know you like Pep Guardiola & Barcelona.

How did Pep do with no managerial experience taking over that club?

Barcelona train both their players and staff in a very particular way, a way set out by Johan Cruijff. If we get the opportunity to have one of those staff members come and further evolve both our current team and the way that this club trains and brings youngsters through, then it really is something that we can't turn down.
