I feel a good summer coming, so i intend to suggest something down the beach. It's simple really. Everybody piles on down the beach, the firmness of pebble pressing sometimes too hardly on worn heels. There's a barbecue all along it for about 3 miles. We get a voucher which entitles us to a free hot dog or veggie burger or beer or melon slice for fruitarians. As we enjoy the feast and settle in the sunshine, the players appear at sea on jet-skis or waterskiiing on the back of speedboats. Gus drives one of the boats and, as he's perfect at everything, does a wheelie (or a ruddery as boatees probably call it). He's waving as he goes, as are the non-seasick plays we have. They're told, of course, that they can only have a maximum of two pre-ski-tiquilas. They go along the beach and back a few times, before pulling into a quay attached to a closed-off pier. They climb the ladder there, wave again at watchers, and then get rat-arsed, before doing some karaoke that we get the chance to watch on bigscreens. I would expect to see an inebriated threesome of Gus, Taricco and Calders do something zany in Spanish and something ghastly to an animal. There might be a shark involved somewhere too. A toothless one.
