Only 2 players left from Div 1 promotion team in starting 11 last night

Liam Bridcutt & Adam El Abd were last night the only 2 remaining players from our league one promotion team , in the space of 21 months gus poyet has virtually built a whole new side gone are Sparrow ,Navarro ,Murray , painter ,Bennett & vincelot and been placed by Bruno,Ulloa ,bridge ,Buckley,Hammond ,crofts ,orlandi ,Lopez ,Vicente Upson & Kuszczak
Unbelievable to think in just that short space of time we've now watched virtually 2 different Albion sides line up I know Barnes, Calderon , dicker , Ankergren & Greer are still part of the set up but it's obvious now after the last few results all the new additions are starting to gel as a squad capable of promotion , WELL DONE GUS

The difference between top end of League 1 and the top end of the Championship.

I think you can go from League 2 to League 1 with the same team, pretty much, and still prosper. But the gulf in class between League 1 and the Championship is so vast you need to have Championship standard players to really compete. It makes what Norwich and Southampton did even more impressive, although both teams had players who were already good enough for this level.
