Check out the Championship highlights at 10.30 am on ITV for Harper's goal against the Blades - as clinical a strike as the one he scored against us. Although given a lot of space yesterday, Hughes' strike for Coventry was instant, crisp and gave Kuipers no chance. I don't recall this quality of scoring last season.

On another note, although we are bottom, two of the three sides we have played are top and third respectively. Although we played a bit better yesterday, it's going to be an uphill season but let's enjoy it anyway; that is what we were saying and thinking after winning at Cardiff.

It's the quality of the teams and the grounds that makes this the ONLY league to be playing in, although we are interlopers with our current resources. Staying here will be tough but it will be worth every fingernail that's gonna be bitten to the quick if we can just stay and consolidate.

I hate being nice about one of our neighbours, but we need to try and create a Pompey-style atmosphere where it doesn't matter what's going on, just keep singing.

Difficult I realise with the acoustics of Withdean, but it worked for them in the end against the odds last season.

Our defence is not performing as a unit as it did last season. This will change when Chippy is back to protect the back four and Roberts is organising ther back four.
