Who should get in the England team on current form?

I Don't like rooney much so play both, with perhaps a tall bloke behind them to feed the ball through, and hold the ball up

Seem to recall we had this poll before the previous set of qualifiers.
To be fair neither currently has much form as the season is only a week old.
I'd take Owen over the gap toothed gypsy any day of the week though.

No disrespect to Hinsh but from what i saw at White Hart Library then i can't even see why Defoe is in the squad. He is too one dimensional. Rather see the Bent boy given a go.

Owen at the moment, although Defoe is probably more naturally skillful, and has the potential to be the better player. On-form, there are few better in the Premiership.

Depends if Defoe ever gets more than 45 minutes.

And lets face it no one is going to displace Rooney or Owen whilst Sven's in charge.

Rooney will get sent off at some point so it depends if whoever replaces him takes his chance.

WSU, just below the seagull.
I honestly believe if Defoe was to get 30 goals this year and Owen only plays a bit part at Madrid (if he stays there), Owen will still get picked.

Rooney is a certain starter, bans permitting.
