Sorry if it's been said but I haven't been on all day and on the train to london today(yesterday) I read in the mirror that Oldham are also after Kazenga for the season on loan. IMO i think Gus will give up soon.

I've gone from Confident he'll sign with us for a season to thinking he'll go nowhere

I'd be pissed if he went to Oldham but we've really got to be looking at Option B down the flanks now

but more importantly , I feel is the striker - not that I wish to spread panic but I reckon TODAY is the day to try and get someone in if we wish to keep some form going with Player x in the squad for our heroic start to the season

however I realise it isn't that easy , but if it happens PERFECT!!

Gus should bide his time, and wait as long as he has to. even if its the 31st August before he signs.

We won't get in anybody else who is as good as LuaLua and we already have Baz who looks useful, so any signing would need to be at least better than Baz or would seem pointless

Too early to risk Baz... Smith will play at Swindon if no LW signed by Sat...

I think that is probably the correct answer and would add that Baz will be brought on for the last 15 - 20 minutes possibly, as indeed I think Dicker will after 60 mins for Kishishev who will probably be tiring by then.

I would sooner that we went after a more orthodox left winger capable of crossing the ball and possibly scoring a goal or two but I seem to be outvoted on Lua Lua.

Many of the options Gus will be considering will be stuck in transfer chains, where each move is dependent on another happening (or not happening). I don't think Gus has any options other than to have his options lined up and to play the waiting game.

We know that Newcastle won't release KLL unless they get a replacement - so it's all about waiting. These days it's not simply a question of haggling one-to-one with a player/agent/club.

I hope Gus has been quietly working away for a decent alternative to Lua Lua because all of this nonsense surrounding him (LL) is really pissing me off. Does he want to come to Brighton? If he does then get things sorted. If he's just using us to get other clubs interested in him then he should go to another club. Make your minds up people-we're not to be jerked around any more.

He has said he wants to come back and work with Gus.

We are his first choice, but Newcastle have been stalling over the deal as they need a replacement for him

Spot on mate. It's a 46 game season and we know what we're getting with LuaLua. Saying that Poyet is sensible and would prob share this level headed view rather than the impatient numptys on here who are never happy :)

What about Paris Cowan-Hall could he be lining up for that left sided position?
