Anyone have experience of getting last train back south from Manchester before ? Looks like a quick train from the station at old Trafford to Manchester proper ?

Premier Inn Trafford Centre for us. £92.50 and 25 minute walk apparently.

The last train back to Cumbria is 7 minutes after kick-off, and we have direct trains. So you have no chance of going south!
Spend the best part of 13 hours on a coach with no drink!

There's two at the Trafford Centre. One is a bit closer than the other.

Some years ago I was working in Manchester and the only hotel available was in Wilmslow Road. It happened to be a Hungarian one with it's own restaurant. It was the first time ever that I woke up smelling like a goulash.
