Old Firm in the Premiership

It would be interesting to know what the majority of other SPL teams would choose out of:

1. An SPL without the Old Firm but life carries on as normal, or

2. All SPL teams to compete in a British League where they'd be going in at, say, League 1 level and be subject to promotion up the leagues or relegation back to the Scottish League.

Personally, I'd like the opportunity of going to Hearts, Hibs and Aberdeen rather than Crewe, Burnley and Preston.

It is, but the Premiership wasn't created so we could have lots of teams vying for the title, it was created purely for financial gain by the top teams.

possibly - a UK league could be the way to go. I'm worried that English football is already going the same way as Scottish with only a couple of teams in contention.

But would including Celtic & Rangers change that? Probably not much.

I'm firmly agin it for the reason that people shouldn't come in and start at the top.

Also; what would happen if either Celtic or Rangers finish in the relegation places? I don't think anyone's ever thought this through properly.

As EUFA want top leagues to have 18 teams only,two extra Prem teams would have to go to accommodate Scotlands "big 2"

The Scottish league would become like the Welsh league,and other "big" Scottish teams would McBleat on about fairness.

Cue the entry of Hibs Hearts Aberdeen Kilmarnock East Poltree Gaels.

In the meantime,lesser Prem teams are going into the Championship to make way for our friends in the north,and smaller Championship teams are displaced downwards.Any alarm bells yet,ladies and gents?

And then of course FIFA says "Hey,its a British League,so lets have a British team istead of 4 different countries in our overblown tournaments." Sound idea Hans.Thought you'd like it
