I saw oily, shiny legs at first. Then I convinced myself that the white was indeed paint. At that precise moment all the oiliness disappeared and I can only see legs with white paint on them now.

same as this, though didnt need much convincing.

Shame - I quite liked the oily legs.

Exactly this.

Was planning on getting a current MBP, the new ones look really nice but the Base level MBP without the touch element (which looks pretty dumb) is £450 more than the current Base models, thanks Brexit! £1450 for the 'cheapest' laptop is insane no matter how powerful it is.

Do you know when the next ipad announcement will be?

Base model with touch bar available in America - $1799
Base model available with touch bar available in UK - £1749
The price hike is about £500 (or 35%) on the previous model.
The declining value of the £ is really starting to screw us over.

I just see a poorly exposed photo, with the highlights burned out. No way to know if it's oil or paint. It's not an optical illusion, it's just a lack of information.

Edit: unless she has oddly shaped legs and multiple strip-lights, I will go for "paint".

The effect is much better if you show the whole image.

Looks like a specialist service that I've seen offered in certain establishments in Hamburg.
