oh Gary Hart....................

Hart made a hard but (in my opinion) fair challenge on their bloke right on the final whistle. So, the game had finished. Their bloke got up and confronted Hart. The two of them put their heads together, there was a bit of pushing and shoving. This lasted for a longer time than had it happened in the match, because the ref took a while to get over to them. But when he did, he sent both off. This was in the corner in front of H block, so all the players had to walk over to the other side of the pitch to get off. In this time, there were a few hands raised and 'incidents,' but it would be pretty hard to tell you exactly what happened then.

You left out the bit about Hart posturing like a hard-man while practically bumming their player onto the turf - after he's just come on and hasn't had time to have developed a vendetta enough for that behaviour.

From my lofty point of view, that is.

Red card was correct, and what a time to earn one of those, eh? :glare: :shootself

great view as i was nearest to the action where i was! Huddersfield player elbowed Gary in the face so he went in VERY hard in the tackle but he did win the ball then after the whistle they went face to face and Gary got butted first very lightly so he butted back harder !

Gary Hart is a quality player who has been injured. He did'nt do himself any favours today as he could have had a run in the squad. If he works hard like he always has, he will be back in contention soon.

We have a conjested fixture list coming up and injuries and more suspensions could easily put him back in the frame.

He still has a lot of commitment, quality and skill to offer the Albion.

Absolute Kalobbs, Hart should have gone last season.

No need for a red card there, I was so close to it - virtually on the pitch. That ref could well have eneded his career with that.

I don't think either of them should have been sent off. Nobody threw a punch, they just pushed each other a bit, and then squared up.

The ref was awful, and that just about put the icing on the cake.

Poor old OGH, I do fear that it is the end for him...thanks for the memories!

Have recorded this am ITV Championship prog, then replayed in slomo, several times.

The ball was on the ground, between Brandon's spread out feet, when Gary came in, one foot forward on the ground and got the ball first, out for a throw, but slid on into the falling Brandon.

There seemed to be some 'discussion' while they disentangled, got up and walked away separately.

Meanwhile, the ref, some distance away, was turning away, whilst all the other players, both sides, had lost interest in the incident, were also turning away, and walking away to take up positions in the penalty box for a throw-in or free kick.

At this point, may have only been a free-kick, or at most a yellow for Gary.

Even the camera man had lost interest, and was tracking back to be ready for the free kick, Gary and Brandon going out of shot.

Could just see Gary turn back to catch what Brandon seemed to be shouting at him, as Brandon’s shadow could be seen catching up with Gary.

At that instant they went out of shot! Referee, still in shot then began to take an interest, as linesman raced into the scene waving his flag furiously, straight past the ref and towards the two by now re-entangled players, now brought back into view.

At this point seemed handbags rather than anything worse, but the of course TV hadn’t captured what happened as Brandon’s shadow caught up with Gary!

Other players joined in, but more to separate the players and defuse the situation, stop Gary arguing with the ref in the process of getting out his red card for Gary, and the receding back of Brandon, all wide-eyed who-me innocence – ha!

Pity about the camera missing the crucial part! However, it does seem the red cards were for the afters, and Gary’s not for the tackle.

Perhaps someone here can fill in the missing bit?
