I can't register but someone might like to point out that living in the south is a touch more espensive than living in the north.

Take houseprices for example

£k Bton & Hove Tyne & Wear
Detached 317 197
Semi-detached 218 112
Terrace 220 89
Flat 152 85

So only getting away with a £6 difference between ticket prices would indicate that Hartlepool's are massively over-priced at £15 and should only be £12.72 - so who's being conned ?

i cant register either, because my e-mail addresses are banned after having a go at our mr ripper before

If I spend £60-£70 on petrol to travel 700 miles on a round trip + at least £10-£20 on refreshments for the day I'm not going to quibble about £5 difference in ticket prices. At the end of the day, people going to this amount of effort and expense aren't going to be put off by the ticket price.

Why doesn't he rant about the amount of tax on his petrol or the train fare etc? This is REAL money.

" Just cos you choose to spend a fortune playing at a shed does not make it ok. We could decide to spend a fortune on players and then charge away fans a fortune to finance it. But we don't. I don't care why you claim to be ripping people off. All that is true is that you ARE ripping people off. I don't care if you are being ripped off too. That is of no concern to me. "

WHAT GARBAGE - some people have no concept of reality even when it is painstakingly explained to them!

What about a rousing chant of 'Ripper is a wanker, Ripper is a wanker, la la la la!' tommorrow afternoon?

No point Matt.

The real Hartlepool fans won't know who he is!!!

Have to say that the 'Pool fans we met when we last played up there couldn't have been nicer. A great bunch of blokes and I somehow doubt that this 'Ripper' is a regular.

The only point that's worth reiterating in all this is that away fans are not being "ripped off", because they are not being forced to pay any more than the home fans.

Bearing that in mind, even the reasons why the prices are so high become irrelevant.

If we went to Chelsea in a Cup, would we expect a discount because, for instance, we're only a little club and we're going to get thumped? Of course not.

Home fans and away fans face the same choice for watching football at our admittedly shitey little ground - pay the going rate or don't bother going at all. That's just the way it is.

On the TinShed (Darlo) site I found this:

Top fans the Brighton lot, they raised lots of money to help a young Poolie keeper injured in a crash.

Maybe those numbskulls should be reminded of that....f***ing wankers. I'd forgotten about their goalie, clearly those fuckwits have too!

Replying to this Ripper just validates his point of view, if you don't reply then this will just soon disappear.

Anyway, we all know the reason why the ticket prices are high, why go to the effort of educating this person? It's just not important at the end of the day.

I met some Hartlepool fans before the game. We took them to the Sportsman. We had A "couple" in the Burrell after the game and a different bunch of Hartlepool fans came in.

All top blokes. Had a good laugh with them. They were all asking about our ground.

Made me laugh when they mentioned Fans United day, "You know, that day when it was 91 clubs against us!" :lolol:
