Are all yellow cards wiped after group stage?

Yes. All start with clean sheets again.

I think thats wrong, in the Ger v Cze game last night they said a couple of players we're rested due to being on yellows and it was too risky to play them knowing they could get banned for the 1/4 match....I'll research some more.

If they already had one yellow from the group stages, a second would have resulted in a one match ban (for the quarter final).

It is definitely a clean slate now - so unless you get booked in the quarter and the semi-final you are OK!

If you get TWO bookings in the group stages, the suspension is carried over.

If you only have one booking after the group stages have finished, that yellow card is wiped from the slate.

Hence, when the Croatia game was sewn up by england, Sven took off Rooney, Scholes and Lampard to prevent them getting a second booking which would have meant they would have missed the Q Final.

Simple really.
