You'd assume that £2.5m fee also secures a "better" buying price if both parties wish to make it permanent afterwards.

Obviously it was on a bigger scale but United paid something like £6m for the Falcao loan but the agreed purchase price with Monaco was slightly more favourable.

Still, seems a lot. Could be seen as a moment of brilliance if he gets them promoted, mind....
