Offside

It has to be said that fans who focus on the ball rather than watch the game in it's wider context often don't understand why a striker is flagged offside when they win the ball having run back from an offside position.

There is an absolute twat who sits in the row in front of me who has no understanding of any of the rules of football and constantly berates both officials and our own players because he is so clueless. I've got a rules of the game CD that I was given on a coaching course and I'm tempted to hand it to him one day but somehow don't think he'd appreciate the sentiment!

According to the Forest programme, I think it said that Port Vale have been caught offside more than anyone else in our Division. Even more than us!

Perhaps we can have a shown offside match with em on Saturday ? or perhaps a sweepstake to rival the National for the total number of offsides in the game.

If Murray and Forster play, I'll open the bidding at 15 between the sides

What annoys me is quite a lot of these off-sides are from goal kicks or long kicks from the back which is very poor.

You can't be offside from a goal kick
