That goal made me laugh is that wrong?. Get Rooney off now he's past it

Agree with only a few minutes on the clock he again proves he far from world class.

That's Cahill and Jagielka shoe in to start in first game. Jones and Smalling don't cut the mustard for me. First attack and they cock up.

Oxo didn't exactly make it hard for the guy to get his cross in. The lad doesn't do enough without the ball for me.

No back up keeper or defenders then.

Not bad going forward until Rooney gets the ball

Our defence is a shambles but going forward we have some real exciting young talent, what a shame these are probably unlikely to feature in the starting 11 against Italy in favour of our senior serial underachievers

I can hear the murmur of the hounds waiting to circle the prey already. Waiting to pounce and condemn England before their feet even touch the hallowed soil of Brazll.

It looks a familiar tale as the printed press await to paint their snide word smithery at the already doomed Roy Hodgson and ......................well, make the centre pages a vegetable patch for all to devour.

I hope the camerawork in Brazil is better than that being produced by whoever is doing this game in 'Rio'. Can't keep the ball in the picture, shooting too wide for corners and incapable of zooming in on the player who just did something noteworthy.

Once again, it's consistent with ITV's usual standards.
e.g.
A player with a bruised knob has not 'tweaked his groin' - that's why it's not foolish for him to come back on the field after a brief rest.
