We hope our other players return and we can keep improving"
Leo Ulloa
Albion’s Argentinian hitman Leonardo Ulloa says he is not worried about being the only fit out-and-out striker. With Will Hoskins (knee), Ashley Barnes (knee) and Craig Mackail-Smith (Achilles) all sidelined, the forward was the only recognised striker available to Oscar Garcia against Burnley.
He told seagulls.co.uk, "I don't feel under any pressure (as the only fit striker), I’m happy now with the role I’m given, and I’m comfortable with it.
“I hope to do my work the best I can, help the team out with goals and when players come back, we’ll be fighting for places which is all the better.
“It will do us good to be competing with each other but we still have things to improve.

“We are still missing players through injury but we will keep working and results are going for us so the signs are good.
*
“We hope our other players return and we can keep improving.”
Despite the lack of options upfront, Albion came away with a comfortable 2-0 win over the Clarets at the weekend and Ulloa was impressed by the side’s high-intensity performance.
“The team did well putting people under pressure and winning the ball back a few times and it was important to get the goal at the time we did. It was good to see how we pressed them as a team.

“We are playing well at the moment and the good thing is we scored some goals and the second goal gave us extra insurance. We controlled the match well after the red card.
*
“I’m happy with the win and the three point because Burnley weren’t a bad team but we did things well.”
Meanwhile, the South American has reassured fans that he has no serious injury concerns after an awkward landing during Saturday’s victory.
“I twisted my ankle when I landed and I’ve got a bit of inflammation but it is fine. It is giving me a bit of pain but I’m fine.”
