Albion created a chance early on in the game when a short corner was worked into the box and Daniel Mandroiu’s shot just went wide of the post.

Archie Davies broke the deadlock in Albion's favour when George Cox’s free-kick was met by the midfielder at the back post and he scored from close range.

Danny Barker had a chance to extend Brighton's lead but his shot was blocked following a corner into the box.

Charlie Scott scored a 70th-minute equaliser for the hosts when he finished well after a lapse of concentration in the Albion defence.The Seagulls quickly re-established their lead only a minute later when Davies flicked the ball on from Cox's free-kick and Mandroiu fired home past Oliver Byrne.
The last 20 minutes saw some immense pressure from United, but some solid defending earned Albion a hard-fought win.
