Rowe-Hurst 65Simon Rusk says his side need to create more goalscoring opportunities after Albion’s under-18s were beaten 4-1 by an in-form Huddersfield.
He told seagulls.co.uk, “I thought we were playing against a well set-up Huddersfield side.
“We had some decent possession on the day, but we weren’t crafty enough to create many clear-cut chances.”
The result means Huddersfield have now won eight of their last nine league games, but Rusk admits he is not too downbeat after the match.
“There’s no reason for the players to lose confidence, we just need to mix good possession with clinical finishing.
“We didn’t pat ourselves on the back too much after the win last week and we won’t over-react after the result today.”
The Yorkshire men took the lead just five minutes into the match thanks to Flo Bojaj, before doubling their advantage ten minutes into the second-half through Jake Charles.
Albion’s most notable chances came in the second-half as some good play down the wing from Jack Rowe-Hurst led to efforts from both Jimmy Muitt and Robin Deen.
Rowe-Hurst did give some hope of a comeback just past the hour mark with a free-kick but a strike from Regan Booty and another effort from Charles gave the home side all three points.
