Albion manager Chris Hughton commented, "We haven't been able to give Chris the amount of opportunities in the Championship that he will get at Nottingham Forest.
"He is a great professional, and has been good to work with since I came here in January. On behalf of everyone at the club I would like to wish Chris well at Forest, for the season ahead."

O'Grady - whose contract with Albion runs until the end of next season - won't be eligible for Forest when the Seagulls visit the City Ground on 9th April 2016.The 29-year-old joined Albion from Barnsley last summer and made 23 starts for the Seagulls, and hit three goals - including a memorable strike against Arsenal at the Amex in the FA Cup.
He also spent part of last season on loan with Sheffield United.
