Brighton & Hove Albion new signing Paddy McCourt admits he was itching to get involved in Tuesday night’s victory over Leeds.“Since I’ve come in I’ve been very impressed. The first half on Tuesday was as good as I’ve seen from any team for a long time. I was just sitting on the bench thinking I can’t wait to get on and play in this.
“We were so comfortable and I don’t think Leeds really knew how to handle it. If we keep playing like that then it will be a successful season. I can’t see many teams being able to live with it.
“It was the style of play that attracted me, the manager wants to play football and I believe it will suit my style. I can’t wait to get going.
"The Championship is very physical and anyone can beat anyone so every game is hard. You never go into an easy game in the Championship, home or away. The good thing is if you get a good run together you never know where it will take you.
“There are probably ten to fifteen teams that expect to be in the play-offs this year so it’s going to be competitive.”

McCourt signed for Albion on a one-year dear on Tuesday and went straight into the squad for Tuesday evening’s game against Leeds United. The Northern Ireland international also says he has been blown away by Albion’s training ground and believes the club boast some of the best facilities in football.
“I had been to the stadium last year with Barnsley but I’d never seen the training ground and I was blown away. I knew it was fairly new but I didn’t expect it to be as good as it is.
“The facilities are top class. I’m delighted to get a deal sorted and will train hard over the next few weeks to try and cement my place in the team.”
