Jake Forster-Caksey feels the combination of the new American Express Elite Football Performance Centre and Sami Hyypia’s arrival as Brighton & Hove Albion manager has elevated the mood within the squad.
Talking to Seagulls Player the England Under-21 said, “All the lads have bought into what Sami is trying to do here and that helps. He has got the respect of the whole squad and training is lively; all the players are really enjoying it this year.
“Coming out every day and training on those lovely pitches at the training ground and going into the gym with all those amazing facilities is pretty spectacular. Coming from the old training ground it is like two different worlds.
“But it won’t make us play brilliantly, we still have to put the work in and work harder. Having the facilities will help every day but on a Saturday we still need to go out and do it and make the fans proud.”
