I certainly didn’t think we had done enough to win the game but I also feel it is a game we shouldn’t have lost"

Chris Hughton felt his Brighton & Hove Albion side were undeserving of the 1-0 loss they suffered at Bolton Wanderers.
*
The Albion manager felt there was little to separate two teams that had begun the day level on points in the Championship.
*
He told seagulls.co.uk, “I am disappointed because I didn’t think there was much between both sides and if I look at how many genuine saves Stockdale had to make there wasn’t many at all.“I certainly didn’t think we had done enough to win the game but I also feel it is a game we shouldn’t have lost.
*
“We just didn’t use the ball well enough. I thought we got into some really good positions in the first half when we broke but it was about that final pass.
*
“We certainly didn’t have fewer opportunities in front of goal than they did but probably the one bit of quality in the game was shown by Clough, and it is a super goal.
*
“We have played a lot of games recently, as everyone has, but probably the spark we have had in the last couple of games just wasn’t there.”

Hughton was unhappy to see his side’s four-game unbeaten streak come to an end, especially as he felt his side were worthy of a point.
*
“It is frustrating [to see our unbeaten run end] because I didn’t feel it was a game we should have lost. I don’t think anybody seeing the game would have seen a lot of difference between the two sides but they got the goal that counted.“If you look at some of the shots we had going towards goal they have got a lot of blocks in. We are two teams in difficult positions and it was what you expect, a team fighting to do better and fighting to get results and they did it just a little bit better than us.”
