Hopefully he will get a great write up in the press because he has been fantastic in the last couple of games"
Gordon Greer

Gordon Greer heaped praise on goalkeeper David Stockdale for his display during the 0-0 draw at Sheffield Wednesday.Greer and defensive colleague Lewis Dunk were both outstanding at the heart of Albion's defence, but Stockdale caught the eye with two excellent first-half stops to deny Sergiu Bus and Michael Keane.
It helped Albion earn their first clean sheet at Hillsborough for 38 years, and Greer told seagulls.co.uk, "It shows the level of the man that he has come out today and pulled of two great saves.
"He is a great guy to have around the place and he is a big character. We have all taken criticism this year because we are not winning enough games so everybody takes their fair share of responsibility and Stocko has done that as well.
"Hopefully he will get a great write up in the press because he has been fantastic in the last couple of games."

The Albion captain was also pleased at achieving a second shutout in as many games after Tuesday’s stalemate at Cardiff City, and admitted that the players have been much tougher critics on themselves than any of the fans or press."We have been criticised for conceding too many weak goals but in the last couple of games we have been solid.
"At the end of the day we are going out there to keep clean sheets and hopefully at the other end we will get the goal and win the game.
"Usually as a defender you are part of the problem because it has gone in your goal and you think 'could I have done more' and you question yourself; we are our own worst critics.
"Whatever other people are saying is not as harsh as what we say to ourselves. If you take that message from yourself then you can accept it from everyone else.
"There is always pressure in football, we get criticised this year for not winning games and we got criticised last year for not winning games when we were trying to get out of the Championship. It is all par of the course."
