Brighton & Hove Albion fans can now order the club's limited edition third shirt for collection at next Saturday's home match against Rotherham.Following its launch the striking orange-and-black strip - which Albion will wear at Huddersfield on Tuesday and Spurs eight days later - generated hundreds of fan requests for replica versions to made available to supporters.
At half-time yesterday Seagulls TV frontman Richie Reynolds - sporting the orange shirt - revealed that fans could be one of the first to wear the third shirt at next week's match by placing their order immediately after the final whistle or from 7pm at seagullsdirect.com - and hundreds of fans have already done so!
Online orders can also be shipped worldwide, with all orders placed by 5pm this Friday being despatched the following Monday.
The replica is a limited edition, and is already proving to be very popular with fans so supporters wishing to purchase are advised to order now.
Albion's head of retail Ben Price commented, "Following the release of the kits back in July, it was clear that as well as record demand and sales for the home and away shirts, there was a great deal of positive feedback and desire from supporters to be able to buy the third kit also.
"It was never intended for this shirt to be made available for sale, and was just to be used in the event of kit clashes with opposition teams.
"Over the last few months the club has been monitoring supporter feedback via social media, direct contact with the club and crucially from speaking with supporters at every opportunity and it was clear that the majority of fans wanted to be able to buy the shirt and have the choice to wear all of this seasons colours.
"As a result, we have worked closely with Nike to produce a suitable amount of stock in order to satisfy this demand – not an easy task at fairly short notice – but once again Nike have shown their commitment to the Albion by doing everything in their powers to make this happen.
*
"Therefore we are now able to offer the shirt, but on a strictly limited basis – once the stock is gone, that’s it. Fans who want to get their hands on one, should get their orders in fast!"
