Board shut down
We have suspended our Message Board services until further notice. This decision has been taken in light of the potential for misuse and to protect the interests of the football club, and football in general.

We apologise to those users who regularly use the Message Board in a reasonable and proper manner.

There wasn't anything there about events in London recently either.

There were about 100 messages about Coppell today and that is all

Yes but if someone goes on the board and starts spouting loads of shit about it the club could be in trouble.

Good work i say.

So why have a message borad at all then, if they're gonna close it down just in case...................

They'll need to shut Always Skint down aswell then. Non-stop there, who knows what kind of rumours could be started?

This is the first time in over 2 years I have known the site closed

I think it is more to do with PTV than our own local website.

It may have come from the central NTL people.

I wonder if it is more to do with the potential of the London Hotel situation being used in light of what has happened elsewhere?

Strange decision all the same as that incident had not been mentioned. Maybe they felt the chat on Coppell was for some reason not helping the situation while talks are gong on?:nono:

The corner quietly rusting
Football message boards are shutting all over the place, Rivals has pulled the plug on all of its message boards and so have PTV.

It comes from 1.the commercialisation of the web 2. the fact that the lawyers for one of the names mentioned has started legal action against someone who spread a rumour by email.

Bozza makes the ultimate decision on whether this keeps going but we are all responsible for our own posts. There is no need to shut down, we have more pressing issues to discuss!
