Shocking performance from our fans tonight. I salute the small group of fans that sang throughout the first half. The rest well what can I say

What did Slade say on the radio interview (or Seagulls world)? Can't read it yet.

I was one of those and the second half too.

Well a poor performance again from the Albion and an equally poor one from the ref and linesman.

It looked like a team very short on confidence although not that short on talent (its there just not showing itsself at the moment very much). The game was at least more interesting than the Peterborough game I went to.

The ref (and both linesman) though put on one of the worst performances I have seen in a very long time if ever (and I was at a villa game in the intertoenail cup when the ref booked and sent off the wrong player and blew for full time 12 minutes before the end only to be corrected by linesman.) I am unwilling to criticise the officials they have a difficult job to do, but so do I but if I performed that badly I would be relieved of my duties and escorted off the site and sacked.

I refused to get too excited after the demolition of Yeovil as I knew that another horror show was just around the corner. The contrast between last night's game and the game at Walsall a year ago was considerable. Last year, we had a solid back four consisting of homegrown central defenders, Tommy Elphick and Joel Lynch, the classy Matt Richards on the left and Andrew Whing on the right. Now, Lynch is on loan at Forest and playing in their reserves, Elphick's confidence is so low that he is now an established member of our reserves, and Richards has gone back to Ipswich to play in their second string.

The less said about our midfield the better. They couldn't get the ball to our strikers. They couldn't protect the defence as Walsall piled on the pressure.

In January, we paid £250,000 to Stockport for left-back Jim McNulty. He's injured and out of action for the rest of the season. Our best striker, Glenn Murray, has been injured for most of the season and still isn't fit.

This season has been an utter shambles for BHAFC and I can't wait for it to end. It won't have a happy ending, I'm afraid. We will have to regroup in L2.
