Has he not watched World Cups before? By usual standards the reffing has been pretty good. Yes, the odd dodgy decision, which you'll always get anyway, but so far so good I'd say.

Very true. Whatever anthem we had everyone would moan about it. I don't understand why everyone wants a song about bloody Israel!! (as much as I like singing it at cricket)
If everyone just stopped bitching about it there wouldn't be a problem, but that wouldn't be a true reflection of our culture!
Now I've typed that I think it's perfect for us, have something that half the people hate so they can moan, then we can all argue about it. Gives us something to talk about when we're not discussing weather

Exactly. It's only 3 options you cannot like about it, Tempo, The words or the tune. It's not a "what tune suits me" competition. It's our national anthem. Be proud, show our pride, and rub it in the faces of the world. I could not care less what any other country thinks.

Watched the first half in a pub with some Americans. Of course when the goal went in one of them shouted "One more goal towards democracy"
