It should have been a yellow BUT it's common knowledge this ref likes to send people off so you could argue that Cahill was silly to make that challenge with such a ref in charge?
In the same way coaches now analyse player's penalties to prepare for shoot outs....I wonder if any research is undertaken into referees characterists? Just a thought.
