And what if, somehow, McGhee is in charge in August? That would look bloody stupid now. All the while McGhee is in employment, I would expect the club to say nothing.

Why? Whatever they decide about McGhee, in or out, they will surely tell us after they have had these discussions.

My point was not about the decision they might come to, but just emphasising that they had to say something today because everyone knew they were meeting. With no firm outcome from today's meeting, they have acted entirely properly in telling us just that.

For once, I am going to concede an argument. I now reluctantly bow to your thinking, sir - you do make sense I suppose.

Thank you!

It is good to discuss, disagree and even lose an argument if it is done in a reasoned and objective way.

Sadly many of the discussions on here are quite the opposite of that.

I reckon he is staying now. Yes that is a volte-face from yesterday but this is dragging on too long for my liking.

I wonder if the Naylorgate stuff has actualy worked?

Anyone else thinking that the fact that this is going to take a "few more days" is because the new manager will be announced at the same time as the sacking of MM?

I'd say it means one of two things. Either they've decided to sack him, but need to tell him and agree compensation. Or they've talked the Poker Player around and Want to wait to confirm his involvement!!!

Who agrees?

My thought is could they keep MG sack Booker and White and promote Dean Wilkins to Assistant as a compromise?

I think several people are coming round to that viewpoint all at once - are these random thoughts modotw and Jim in the West - or is one of you a slimy reptile perhaps :smokin:

I am a anti McGee supporter, but do keep my anti feelings to myself normally as it just causes abuse on here, its just a feeling I have how this might pan out. Knight is pro McGee and says "GOOD progress" that hardly tells me McGee is going

I suspect tomorrows Argus will turn todays debate around yet again. You get the impression the Argus have got hold of something and are prepared to milk it for all it's worth.

DK likes media attention for us, so any announcement on MM's replacement will be made after the media has run their McLaren pieces, giving us a bit more coverage(i.e 2 paragraphs instead of 2 lines if released tomorrow)
So i would expect an announcement Monday evening or Tues afternoon.
