Thought I'd start one, given the first match is less than 5 hours away.

A glance at the draw shows that Phil Taylor is in the easier half and should progress to the final. The bottom half is intriguing with Michael Van Gerwen, Gary Anderson, Barney, Wade, Lewis and Chisnall all featuring.

My Q/F prediction is Taylor vs. Thornton, Kim Huybrechts vs. Whitlock, Michael Van Gerwen vs. Raymond Van Barneveld and Wade vs. Lewis. For me, it's a Taylor vs MVG Final and this promises to be a classic.

The stand-out first round matches are Kim Huybrechts vs Ronnie Huybrechts, Dave Chisnall vs John Henderson, Jamie Caven vs. Jelle Klaasen, Gary Anderson vs. Mark Dudbridge.

No chance, the FA Cup of darts (UK Open) is for that. But now that is going seeding next year, the idea of that has stopped.
