Goede Reis, Sunday is Queens Day (celebration of the life of the queen, not ...well never mind), something like a third of the Dutch population go to Amsterdam for the day to party till they can't stand up.

It's on saturday actually, dont mean to be pedantic but wouldn't want anyone to miss the boat.

Well I haven't been to Amsterdam since the 1980's!

Is the Banana bar still there? You paid an entrance fee for 30 mins of drinks and the drinks were served by young ladies in very strange ways!

I have a picture of me mounting a rickety RAFT that was floating in an Amsterdam canal last year. On this raft there was an old armchair. I sat on the armchair, but it smelt a bit funny and the raft started drifting towards the middle of the canal. I got a bit scared so I got out of the armchair and jumped back to safety before I got stranded.

I tried to post this picture, but imageshack told me it was too big, and I can't be bothered to work out how to resize it. You'll just have to take my word for it.

great weekend, haven't slept in 3 days, superb carnival scenes!! shame about the mediocre weather
