No matter what the opposition (at this level) hitting 66 off 22 balls is amazing!

Unfortunately the Dutch are without their 3 best players today, as they're stuck with their counties. As such, 3 younger lads have been called up.

It's tough but you can see the confidence of the bowling was not there and some of the catches that were dropped were atrocious. I play cricket here in NL and you'd be pissed if a teammate dropped those.

That being said, NL do have a couple of decent batters.

Also looking forward to the second game on Sunday. It's going to be even busier. If anyone else is going, I've heard that the catering has been atrocious. Queues of 45 minutes for beer.

Basically Gullit, Rijkaard, Van Basten out. DJ Locadia, Elvis Manu, Danny Holla in.

Dam, just a bunch of cloggers then etc (add further Dutch references to taste).

Genuinely gutting. Knocking Australia off the top of the "most runs conceded" list while not making 500 the worst of all worlds

Cameraperson (let's assume a male) did a fine job scanning the crowd when they played Uptown Girl over the speakers.

Play started. Reduced to 41 overs.

Netherlands won toss and bat.

Good solid Dutch names for their two opening batsmen.
