O/T. Techie help anyone?

Help!.....Is there any kind soul who can help? Over the last last week or so, intermittently when I log on to aol, my screen freezes with the message "aol not responding". The same message appears in task manager twice. Sometimes it takes around ten attempts to get online! I've tried defrag, disc clean, system restore, clearing the browser cache, uninstall/reinstall, resetting the aol adaptor, reset the web settings and checked the proxy settings, all to no avail!


So...does anyone have any idea's for this techno pleb before I take a hammer to the thing? ....please.

It could be something to do with Norton Anti-Virus not being campatible with your computer, uninstall it and then try.

If it doesn't work simply ring up AOL and get a new dialing number!
