My girlfriend and I both have time off at the end of this week and were thinking of getting away to Spain. I have looked on the weather sites and it says the weather out there is still in the 20degrees range but realistically is it that warm or not? Obviously not going to be beach weather but if I can get a cheap deal its got to be better than spending a week over here doing bugger all I guess..

It will be warmer but not as you say beach weather.

I love the Canaries at this time of year, good temps for swimming and beaches. No too expensive.

If you want some time on the beach the Gran Canaria is good.

Canary Islands this time of a year are a good bet. Fuerteventura for instance, isn't going to give you a traditional Spanish break - but there is nothing better than getting away this time of year for some good weather, and it won't take long to get there.

Corralejo is a good bet, modern (slightly tacky) resort but amazing beaches - you just jump on the local bus.

Cheers lads - managed to get a week in Fuerteventura for £210 each 4* too.
Could get cheaper in the likes of Benidorm and Fuengirola but not that warm I guess...
Cant wait!

You will not be disappointed and pack the swimmers and the partners bikini.

We had a superb week in Lanzarote in October.

Make sure you try the local traditional food if you can find somewhere that serves it, especially the canarian potatoes and mojo sauce.

They used to boil the local new potatoes in sea water, but now use just very salty water. They boil them till all the water evaporates, and the new potatoes (still in their skins) are left dry and lightly dusted with a crust of sea salt.

They serve them with a hot sauce made from olive oil and red chillies.

Not to be missed.

Have a nice time.

Yeah certainly beats being here for sure! Will definately pack the swim stuff. Im always up for sampling the local quizine but she is always fussy. She will do tapas i suppose but I have heard the local food in the Canaries is top notch. I will probably save more money going away for a week than forking out for Albion games anyway! Take care lads

Tell her that's how they cook the chips out here :lolol:

Because of the large English local population, food will not be a problem at all.

Another plus that although it's politically part of the EU, they are outside of the EU customs terrority. If you are thinking of buying perfume for instance as Christmas prezzies, you find it very very cheap out there (the real stuff, not counterfeit)
