O/T Scaletrix vs TCR

While we are on the subject of childhood games I was wondering if any NSCers had a preference between Scaletrix and TCR, I was always with Scaletrix but alot of my chums were TCR fans

I alwas made the mistake of speeing up into the corners..either that or just asuming you could hold the trigger down fully all the way round.

Had TCR and always thought it seemed better as you could overtake properly

Didn't have TCR so can't compare the 2.
My mate used to have a huge Scalextric in his loft. Bloody massive it was. 8 lanes, must have been about 60-70ft long.

My cousin had Scaletrix, and boy was I jealous. I liked the adverts with Nigel Mansell "And it's even better than the real thing" Yes Nigel of course it is

Had TCR in the loft and Scaletrix in my bedroom with metres of track! Loved them both but Scaletrix wins.

My scalextrics broken, i have a train set though, it runs under my bed, along my ceiling and along my walls.

What is tcr?

Sounds good, but i still think i prefer scalextric, flying off the corners was fun.
It's also fun when your high-speed virgin train come off on a bend.
