I have been looking into freeview tv and wondered if anyone has experience of the analogue Satellite systems sold at Lidls that come with receiver and finder for about £50. Do they work and can you get any decent channels that are worth watching ?.

any comments gratefully received before I waste my money

Thanks

Freeview doesn't use satellite.

You need to find out if you can get freeview first - I could, then moved less than 1 mile away & I couldn't?

The only decent channels I got was BBC3, ITV2, SKY Sports news. You do get Channel 5 (pants) & 2 news channels, UK History, BBC4 , childrens tv & a stack of radio stations as well as a few others.

For £50 it is defo worth it.

Hope this helps?

Oh right sorry, I seem to have confused the issue. I am looking at freeview but have seen this satellite system as an alternative option and wondered if anyone had any experience of it. It seems to list a few channels like eutelsat, eurosport, cnbc etc but nothing that I really recognise and if thats all I can get I'll probably stay clear of it unless someone knows otherwise.
