I'm just wondering has anyone had a car this way or currently doing it?

I'm in need of a new car, as I seem to be down the mechanics every few months getting something fixed and theres no way I can afford to buy a brand new car upfront, so was looking at the idea of taking a car out on lease this way...

Might be worth noting I'm 22 and looking at th 208.

Here, there and everywhere
I'm also looking for a new car, and virtually every deal seems to be leasing these days.

The monthly payments may be lower than buying it outright, but I have been warned that they sting you for every last scratch when you take it back at the end of the lease term, so be prepared to keep it in immaculate condition and not run up high mileage.

I thought the offer to Albion supporters from Chandlers for the mini was quite good.

Nothing up front and £167 per month I think from memory.

Ive always wondered about these sorts of deals and what happens at the end of the term as after 3 years you have effectively paid around two thirds of the list price. Do you get a good deal on another new car or is it just counted as a rental?

I'm pretty certain that they say in the small print at the end of the ads that you will not own the car and the end of the term so you are just renting it.

Personally i think you are better off buying a cheaper 2nd hand car or buying a new car with a loan / finance deal if you can't afford one outright rather than using this type of deal.

What they don't tell you is that you can normally ( assuming you've kept up payments ) take out a new very short finance deal to pay the final figure off at the end and so any damage or excess mileage doesn't really matter as you will end up owning the car.
