On NSC for over two decades...
I was wondering how many of us are actually related to professional footballers.

There is only one that I know of in my family. My Grandmother's cousin was Andy Penman (1943 - 1994), who played for Everton, Dundee, Rangers, Arbroath, Inverness Caledonian, and Scotland.

He was a very fine player by all accounts, unfortunately the 'football genes' didn't pass down my branch of the family tree!!!

Anyone else got any professional footballing relatives they'd like to share with us? (not compulsory if you wish to maintain privacy).

My mum's cousin was one of Hurley and Burley who used to play for Millwall then came and played for Brighton in mid nineties I think, can't remember for the life of me what his name was. Horlock?:p

Not Luton! Thank God
My cousin was Jake Findlay who played for the Hatters in the early 80's. He was part of the team which won promtion to the old first division and did quite well. Scottish U-21 international.

It's why I support Luton.

My cousin was an apprentice at Arsenal when I was a wee lad. He moved to Brighton as a pro, but Steve Piper kept him out of the side. I saw him star for the reserves many times, though. He moved on to Crawley and was captain there for many years.

His nephew is now one of our youth players.

Steve Breach and Chris "Beano" Breach. :clap2: :clap2:

I kept hoping that the genes would filter through to me, too, but I guess they came from Steve's father's family. :(
