After reading some good reports on here I went and got Donnie Darko from E-bay the other day. Got around to watching it last night and just need to ask 1 question. WHAT THE FCUK WAS THAT ALL ABOUT?

One of the best films i've seen in years.
Best since Happiness, i think.

I made the mistake of watching it with no kind of narcotics in my body - this could be 1 of the reasons why it didnt make much sense to me.

I bought it the other day, and must admit I struggled a bit. One of those that needs a couple of viewings before I "get it" I think.

Or perhaps I'm a bit fick.

Superb film. It's hard to believe the director was just 26 when he made it. You do have to concentrate though, it's not the kind of film you can watch whilst doing the ironing. The DVD extras are quite handy as well, the theory of time travel book pretty much answers all the questions that are spinning around in your head.

I really enjoyed it, although there are several theories as to what it all meant. Take a look at the web site to find out how far you can take it.

Talking about real head f*** films, has anyone seen Mulholand Drive?

It is a proper spinout film.... I've watched it about 5 times and still don't completely understand it.

I THINK Donnie's stuck in an infinite loop in time, but only his subconscious "insanity" realises it, hence the visions of things from the future.

confirmation of this theory appreciated!

Oh, and it's available for £6 from MVC, Virgin etc.
