Good thread, if only so that I can yet again drag out the fact that, at Longhill, I would occasionally get teamed up with the legendary Ian Chapman for games out Wembley Pairs, so that my outstanding talent and fitness would compensate for his evident lack of both...er, I think...

It's important to have a "hacking" rule when playing Wembley, whereby anybody kicking the ball miles away from the goal in order to keep possession (because no-one else could be arrsed to chase after it) was permitted to be scythed down mercilessly.

What about Crossbar,where you stood either side of the crossbar and tried to hit the bar with the football.
If you missed the kid the other side has his go from wherever the ball stopped
