goes against everything i've previously thought about responding to your posts but hey....i'm sure others might be interested..

Have to vote for Britannia Rescue here.

AA and RAC both have limits on how many call outs you can have in a year (6+8 respectivly) and whils the AA will at least try to get you fixed, the RAC work on just towing you away as quick as possible..
IMO, Brit Res have no call out limits (usefull when you have a older car or want to help mates out..) use locally based mechanics (so are nearer to you in the first place, and can easliy find you) and also cheaper for the same service..

Autonational Rescue - it's the breakdown service with the No Claims Bonus.

Yep, been with this crowd for about three years now. The cheapest by miles, yet giving the same service as the other rescue services. Forget the RAC and AA. Shit service for a high price.

well i was with AA and had enough when i waitd over an hr in daytime (not rush hr) near M/way like they shouldve been there said 20 mins estimated turned up over hr! Picked up green flg details (through Tesco) earlier today and must say they compare very well with leading two (AA and RAC) and for same service you chop about third of price, im tempted but will look into others thanks everyonme for your comments.

Can only take em' as I find em', and AA were first class when my car broke down a few months back. Bloke gave me a time estimate of 30 mins, then I got a text on my mobile saying 15 mins, and the guy turned up 5 mins later.

I bought a years membership with RAC a few years back, but cos I'm a spanner, I didn't realise I was already covered through my Lloyds TSB Select account, for a £2 per month charge. What a f***ing waste of £80 that was.

I was then put off RAC for life anyway by that programme on BBC which exposed them as a bunch of rip-off shysters who tell every poor bastard that they need a new battery, whether they actually do or not (which of course they then sell you on the spot).

Wankers.
