can anyone help - I've given up trying to contact NTL - have been ringing Customer Support and Technical Support (at my cost) for hours at a time for days and cant get them to answer - just mundane messages and music.
I have NTL Broadband running on Windows 98. When I try to log on it just hangs on "detecting proxy setting" - after about 20 attempts I sometimes get lucky. I've checked the LAN settings and they seem ok. (ie auto detect settings is ticked and proxy server is not)
I'd be grateful for any help
