Roasted Chesnuts are quite marvellous as well - I had some in Ipswich for the first time in ages, never seem to see the stalls any more.

I got nicked scrumping chestnuts from my mates Dads Garden at 1am a few years back (seemed like a good idea at the time). Copper asked where I lived and how was I going to roast them . . . . I pointed to my house, with smoke coming out the chimney and he let me go.
