NSC spam

Obviously I've removed her email addy and NSC name but she has been a member sometime so it's not like its a new thing.


NSC is one of her trusted websites so it went direct to her personal email and she wasn't best pleased as she doesn't want her inbox to start being full of spam.

Has anyone else had this?

This is so last week. Last weeks were from Bozza, well not really. He is fixing it tomorrow I think.

An account with administrator privileges was compromised over the weekend. It was clearly highly targeted as once compromised, the account was used to then spam a number of NSC user accounts with email.

I can only apologise for this - it's the first time anything like this has happened in my time involved with NSC, which must run to at least 12 years now.

I take this stuff very seriously - my paying job is, in fact, in Information Security.

It's a funny time for Albion messageboards currently, for sure...

- A new one enters the fray.
- An existing one is threatened with closure.
- A further existing one suffers a technical attack.
