Having been lucky enough to play on the pitch (for free), it is an absolutely fantastic experience. If I had that sort of money to spend I would be very tempted to do it again.

Scoring at The Amex in a match with your mates? It's hard to put a price on it; even if there is no one in the crowd, it's an overwhelming feeling. I should know

Funny how it always seems to be the same people who moan about the club trying to maximise revenue, yet also moan that we don't sign good enough players.

Can't see the problem myself. They're not going to offer it for a fiver, are they? It's one of those "experiences" that's meant to be a little bit exclusive.

The places will get snapped up by corporate types, and the club will benefit by thousands of pounds for a couple of days' use of the pitch.

Supply & demand. It's one of these "once in a lifetime" sort of experiences that they've put together because they know there are enough corporate sorts out there who will pay for it, that or individuals looking for something for a special occasion.

Yes, they could offer it for twenty quid a head (even then, some would probably moan that it should be fifteen), but at the end of the day, they figure they'll sell them at nearly £200 without too many problems, hence that's where they've set the price. It's meant to be aspirational, darling.

Are you going to moan at Richard Branson because his Virgin Galactic experiences are out of the price range of the average space fan?
