Out of interest. When someone gets themselves banned, how do you know they don't just register again with a different name ? Or perhaps you note the ISP address thingy or something ? And who takes the decision to ban someone anyway ? , a mod on his/her own or is it a consensus of mod opinion ?

Lots of questions I know, but just curious as ultimately I don't really get all this banning lark. No matter how offensive someone gets on here, and I find more than a few posts offensive personally, I tend to just ignore them rather than jump up and down protesting ( which is, after all, what most of these idiots want, isn't it ? )
