The Albion raceday is being held at Brighton racecourse on Sunday 25th April - the day after Bristol City away.

There is to be a race of pantomime horses with each horse representing an Albion supporters' group. As such, each horse will be occupied by two people from that group.

NSC has been invited and the horse had been 'populated' but those people have now cancelled.

If you are going to the race day anyway, and wouldn't mind donning the horse costume for NSC, please PM me ASAP in order that arrangements can be made.

If I haven't heard anything in a couple of days time, I will have to cancel NSC's involvement - which will be a shame.

It would be easy for Ernest or FG to occupy one half seeing as they are both horses arses.....:lolol:

OK, as a member of the NSC Naps Team I feel that I should offer my services, but this would mean giving up all hope of actually winning the race (44 years old and a slightly buggered left knee). Of course this does mean we need one more to make up the team. And if it's more than a furlong then there's a very good chance of us being pulled up as I am not very fit. Also, are the actual horses provided or do we have to arrange these ourselves?

[oh no what have I done... :dunce:]

I sure the DAFT bints would be ideal. They're all naggers anyway.

Bloody steep uphill gradient at Brighton. How many furlongs are we talking here? Will prices be available on the betting exchanges? Will the runners & riders be printed in the racecard? Will the official site send along a team for the meeting two weeks late? Will there be more than three disinterested bar-staff fitted with blinkers serving behind the longest bar on a British racecourse? Will there be the Withdean-style single burger bar with a queue a hundred yards long and multiple ice-cream vans with zero customers? What IS a crab-stick? Are there more questions than answers?

if there's free beer in it for the runners, i'm game for a laugh-
can we nobble the others??
I will buy a pint for both of the NSC entrants. And they each get a bonus pint if they win.

I'm sure that others can contribute to this prize fund as well.

If enough people offer beer, there will be no risk that the bonus will have to be paid out.
