Hi all, sorry I know its my second thread about a song. But I was listening to the great Brighton band the Levellers the other day and I just started singing this to "One Way":

i was expecting this to be another dire attempt but it's good because it's original and it's a Brighton band. You've got too many syllabales though. I think the following is better and truer to the original:

There's only one McKail-Smith
and he runs and he runs and he runs

The only thing is we already have 'just can't get enough'

Yes was thinking that too. "Theres only one" instead of We love you Craig"
Thats the reason I like it, Brighton band, no one else uses it. Its easy, just cant get enough is sung by other clubs. Not this though.

CMS already has his own song, a few sang it away at Brostol City. It really took off and everybody was singing it at Leicester away..... it was rocking. Its sung to Depeche Mode - Just Can't get enough.

The same one the Liverpool use for Luis Suarez (replace with - Craig Mackail-Smith)

I like the original suggestion, it'd be nice to have a song that hasn't been nicked from another club. Not sure it quite works for CMS though, too many syllables. Would work for Lewis Dunk nicely though, with the 2nd line being 'he's our own, our own, our own'.

Difficult thing is to get people to learn it and then use it.

I think we're onto something using these tunes though.

"One Way" and "Just the One" are made for football chants and most poeple in Brighton recognise the tunes. Even if they've forgotten its the Levellers. Maybe some of the teenies won't know it but they'll catch on.
