Notts v Sussex Final Day

We did put it to mods about 2 months ago and it got turned down... Lord B will confirm this...

Surely they must have told you or did they not even think to? Tut Tut Tut...

:lolol:

Confirmed, Trigger.

The thing about us cricket folk is that we are disciplined enough to keep everything in one thread (which then drops out of sight at the end of the day). So it never clutters up the board for the rest of NSC's Users.

I still say there's no need for a separate Forum. The way things are makes it EASIER for the Mushy Fan Club to skip between cricket and the other stuff on NSC than it would be if we had to log in and out of different forums.

If the rest of NSC don't like it, well, stuff 'em! I say.

Championes!

Getting back to the original subject, what do you think the odds are of England suddenly deciding to pick Kirtley for the next test, thus leaving us without our 2 senior pace bowlers for the Championship decider.. just a thought..

I'm worried about that, they'll probably drop Butcher and Anderson from the test team so they can play us aswell. Anything to stop us winning the championship:angry:

I think a lot of people would just see that as a total stitch up to give Surrey the title, we all know how pro Surrey the England camp are so it probably will happen even though Kirtley was thought not good enough just 5 days ago...

:censored:

On a side note Billy Taylor would replace him and he's got a hatrick against Surrey before!

Back in Sussex
Harmison, at the least, is likely to be dropped for the next test. I'd thought a fit-again Richard Johnson would be above Kirtley in the pecking order for a call-up.

Bowling Bowling Jason Donovan...

Why has Kirtley come out of the attack after just 4 overs? 1/9 isn't that bad is it? Is he injured?

???

Maybe a rest before lunch so that he can come out at full pelt after a good rest?

Mushy to come on a fourth day wicket!!:clap2:

The good thing about this year is that we now have the ability to finish off teams unlike previous years. Hence no draws so far.

Nah! Adams has joined the Kirtley is Rubbish! Campaign.

Which seems to have taken a huge blow looking at the SA 2nd innings scorecard, Gough hasn't bowled at all, i take it he's injured?

Off for a job interview now

I hope to come back and see Sussex sitting proudly at the top of the table by close of play! :clap2:

P.S Kirtley is rubbish and should never be picked for England again! :lolol:

Lets not worry too much about a kirtley call up, they'll probably go for the crappy seamers that have been tried before like Silverwood before Kirtley gets a go. The selection committee are stoopid like that.
