If anyone is a real ale person and going to Nottingham there is a blinding little boozer caled the Vat and Fiddle just down from the station, go there, 8 guest ales at all times and bitters and mild that are brewed just next door.

Great stuff.

Very good pub that, many a drink in there whilst staying in Nottingham as we have offices there.

Isn't there also a very old pub in the rock - The Jerusalem ?

There certainly is, Ye Old Trip to Jerusalem, apparently its the oldest pub in the country. Built for Crusaders travelling down from the north or summat. Sit there long enough and you get sandstone in the bottom of your pint. Very small unfortunately but should be okay on a saturday afternoon for a couple of pre match drinkies. Its right by the bottom end of Nottingham Castle.

Another boozer worth visiting is the other Castle Rock
(the owners of the Vat and Fiddle) pub which is just down from Broadmarsh bus station. Same selection of ale with a few foreign lagers thrown in for good measure. Decent food as well.

I expect the youngsters will be in the bars at the Waterfront which do 2 for 1 pints in the daytime.

My parents have been away for one day and my house looks like Baghdad. Me and stocking head had a shaving cream foam/water/deep heat fight last night and I came out of it pretty bad. Then we played Jackass on the stairs and tonight we're playing Russian roullete with real, live eggs.

I'll be attending the Nottingham game with my lovely assistant, Joanne. YEE HEE.

Real live eggs?? lol

I really dunno what I'm letting myself in for on Thursday.......

I feel sorry for your parents
